The good news is that HP’s upcoming TouchPad tablet is making a stop at the FCC on its way to a commercial launch. The bad news is that’s virtually all we know at the moment. Most of the documents are hidden away behind a confidentiality agreement, which means we don’t get to look at any pretty pictures of the tablet’s insides.
The FCC has a habit of ripping things apart for us though, so once that confidentiality agreement lifts, who knows what you may find? Of course, HP is asking for 180 days of secrecy, so the tablet might actually be available for purchase before all the documents go public.
In the meantime, I guess we can tide ourselves over with a drawing showing where the label will hide.
The HP TouchPad features an 8.9 inch, 1024 x 768 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor, and HP’s webOS 3.0 operating system. It’s expected to launch in June.
