Asus has added a few Windows utilities to its support page for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet. But wait, the Transformer is an Android tablet, not a Windows computer. What are you supposed to do with Windows utilities? You install them on your computer silly. Then you can use your Android tablet to do two pretty nifty things:
- Remote control your desktop from the tablet.
- Synchronize your calendar and contact list between your PC and the Eee Pad Transformer.
The Asus Sync utility is available as a standalone download from the support page. You can also download the Eee Pad PC Suite which includes the Asus sync tool, Asus Webstorage app for storing files on the web, and the MyDesktop app which lets you login to a PC from your Android tablet to remote control it.
MyDesktop is based on the SplashTop Remote software.
The Eee Pad PC Suite is available for Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
Update: Matt at Netbook Reviews has posted a video showing how the software works on an Eee Pad Tansformer.

Asus has included some decent apps for the Transformer. Now if only Google could get Chrome for Honeycomb to actually run like the desktop version of Chrome we would be in business–why in the hell didn’t Google just use the regular version of Chrome? They claim it’s the desktop chrome but it sure doesn’t behave like it.
