Acer ZGB Chrome OS notebook details emerging?

OK, details might be putting it strongly. We already know that Google has this Chrome OS operating system thing it’s going to start pushing this summer. And we already know that Acer is one of the companies that will be producing a Chrome OS laptop. Now Macles has dug up a Chrome OS bug report that may shed a little more light on Acer’s upcoming Chrome OS notebook.

First up, it looks like the notebook is going by the code name ZGB. That’s not a huge surprise, since the last time there was an indication Acer was working on a Chrome OS laptop it was code-named the Acer ZGA.

Second, the computer appears to have a 1366 x 768 pixel display. Again, that’s not a huge surprise, since Google has said it wants Chrome OS notebooks to have high resolution displays, setting them apart from most early netbooks.

Macles also reads between the lines a bit to deduce that the notebook will likely have an Intel-based processor and HDMI output. There’s still no information on which Intel chip it will use, how much it will cost, or even how big the laptop will be.

If 1366×768 counts as high resolution, does that mean this thing is going to have a 7 inch screen or a 9 inch screen?

Netbooks are mostly 10″ these days and most are still set to 1024×600 resolution. So 1366×768 would count as high resolution in comparison.
