Asus has been quietly showing off a new line of 10 and 12 inch ultraportable laptops with AMD Fusion chips since January. Now the company has announced pricing and launch details for the Eee PC 1015B and 1215B mini-laptops. Both should be available in the US in April.
The Eee PC 1015B features a 10 inch display and a single core AMD C-30 processor and Radeon HD 6250 graphics with support for 1080p HD video playback. It will cost $289.99 at launch.
The Asus Eee PC 1215B has a 12.1 inch display and comes with either a 1 GHz AMD C-50 dual core processor and Radeon HD 6250 graphics or a more powerful 1.6 GHz AMD E-350 processor with Radeon HD 6315 graphics. The Eee PC 1215B will run $379.99 for the C-50 model, while the E-350 version will cost $449.99.
Each notebook will features 802.11b/g/n WiFi, HDMI output and Bluetooth 3.0. The lower priced notebooks will come with 1GB of RAM and 250GB hard drives, while the $450 model of the Eee PC 1215B will have 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive.
The 10 inch models will be available in black, white, blue and red colors, while the 12 inch notebooks will come in black, silver, or red.
