Pioneer introduces DreamBook ePad F10 Oak Trail tablet

Australian computer company Pioneer has introduced a new 10 inch Windows tablet called the DreamBook ePad F10. The tablet feautres a 1.5 GHz Intel Z670 Oak Trail processor with integrated graphics and a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel multitouch display.

The Pioneer DreamBook ePad F10 will be available with up to 2GB of RAM, between 16GB and 128GB of SSD storage, and optional WiFi and 3G. There’s also support for Intel’s WIDI wireless display system, which lets you stream content from the tablet to an external display.

The tablet also features an HDMI port, USB port, mic and headphone jacks, a SIM card slot, and a SD card slot. There’s a 1.3MP camera and a battery which the company says should last for up to 8 hours. Pioneer says the tablet is designed to run Windows and/or Google Android and will have a starting price of about $499 Australian (which is abotu $507 US at the current exchange rate) — although that’s the price for a model with 1GB of RAM, no camera, operating system, and just 16GB of storage.

Nice, but too low res and the CPU is not fast enough for W7, but still kills the battery.

We’ll have to wait till Medfield to get better W7 tablets.
