The Cydle M7 MutiPAD is a 7 inch Android tablet which comes with a detachable stand you can use to prop up the tablet for watching videos or surfing the web. The FCC has published the user manual, some test results, and other information related to the tablet.

The company actually promised to release the Cydle M7 for $199 during the second quarter of 2010 with an integrated ATSC TV tuner. That never happened, and now it looks like all mention of the TV tuner has been dropped from the product page and the user manual.

The tablet is now said to have an 800 MHz ARM11 CPU, 8GB of storage, 256MB of RAM, and a 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen display. It runs Google Android 2.1, has a G-Sensor, HDMI port, speakers, mic and headphone input, and support for 1080p HD video output.

The product page says the tablet has a 4000mAh battery, but according to the user manual the battery has a capacity of 4500mAh. They both agree that the battery is not swappable.

There’s no word on whether the $199 price tag still stands, or if the M7 will actually make it to market this year.

  1.  I bought the Cydle M7 MutiPAD.back in Sept 2011 and it doesn’t do what it claims. The Toll Free Customer Sevice number for Canada doesn’t exist or just doesn’t work for customers outside the USA. It cost me $18.00 to make a long distance phone call to talk to someone. They said I needed to get the Android 2.3 upgrade so I can watch YouTube and any other Flash Player videos, and the only way to do this is to mail the Cydle M7 MutiPAD to California at my expense.  I didn’t want to it at first but after numerous emails and the Cydle representative telling me there is no other way to fix the problem I ended up mailing my Cydle M7 MutiPAD to them. It cost me $16.00 s&h. After 31 days and no word about my Cydle M7 MutiPAD I email them to find out whats going on. A few days later they get back to me and say they are doing the Android 2.3 upgrade now. A couple days later they email me that the upgrade is complete but there’s a problem, the stand for the M7 is now broken, and they want to charge me another $20.00 for a new stand.
I’m not a happy customer and will never purchase another Cydle product ever again.
My advice, just stay clear of the Cydle M7 MutiPAD and it’s lack of proper customer service.

  2. This is basically a Mimo 720-S, which itself is $199.99, with a Android system and battery thrown in. So it would seem very unlikely they can release this at a similar price.
