I got to spend a few moments with the Enspert E201 Identity Tab at CES, and the tablet appears to have a decent build quality and decent, if not spectacular specs. But I didn’t really have time to put the tablet through the paces. Now Jenn at Pocketables has picked up a demo unit from Dynamism. The retailer opened pre-orders for the tablet today with plans to start shipping around February 15th.
While Jenn hasn’t posted any details on performance yet, she says she was impressed by the solid build quality and the lok of the silver plastic case which has a metallic sheen to it. The tablet also has an HDMI port and a full-sized SD card slot.
On the down side, the tablet has a 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel screen instead of a higher resolution model. And while it has a rear-facing camera, there’s no front camera for video chat.
The Enspert E201 has a 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor and runs Google Android 2.2. It supports WiFi and Bluetooth connections and sells for $349.
