Verizon already offers an iPad, but it’s a WiFi-only model that can only connect to Verizon’s wireless network with the help of a MiFi 3G wireless hotspot. But now that Verizon will begin selling the iPhone 4 in February, the next logical question is whether the network will also have a version of the iPad that works on its mobile network. According to Bloomberg, the answer is yes.

Bloomberg didn’t get any details on pricing or timing for the new Verizon iPad, but Verizon’s chief financial officer did confirm that te tablet was coming.

Of course, Apple may very well be ready to announce an iPad 2 soon, so it’s not entirely clear at this point if we’re talking about a standard iPad 3G, a next-generation iPad, or maybe even an iPad with support for Verizon’s new 4G LTE networks. I suspect we’ll have more answers before too long though.
