I suspect if you’re interested in installing Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat on your netbook, notebook, desktop, or tablet computer, you already know this, but Canonical officially launched the latest version of its popular Linux-based operating system right on schedule today.

Ubuntu 10.10 features a new user interface for netbooks and other devices with small displays. It also features updated email, office, and music apps, as well integration with the Ubuntu One service for backing up files and data and streaming media files over the internet.
