The Asus Eee PC 1201K is a 12 inch mini-laptop which looks a lot like other Asus notebooks such as the Eee PC 1201N or Asus UL20A. But while those machines have Intel chips, the Eee PC 1201K has a low power AMD Geode processor.
Specifically, the Eee PC 1201K has a 1.4GHz AMD Geode NX1750 processor. The notebook also runs Windows XP, which seems like a pretty good indication that Asus is positioning the Eee PC 1201K as a budget model. First spotted earlier this summer, the laptop is now available for purchase for 328.99 Euros in Italy.
That’s about $425 US, which sounds a bit steep by US standards, but it’s actually one of the lowest prices I’ve seen for a 12 inch Eee PC model in Italy. There’s no word on whether we’ll see this model stateside anytime soon.
Rounding out the notebook’s specs are a 1366 x 768 pixel 12.1 inch display, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and a 4400mAh battery.

This netbook with the NX1750 is such a bad buy. All the new Atom processors are much faster and the netbooks with them are priced cheaper or about the same as this one.
