It looks like the wait is finally over. Perhaps Samsung was tired of reading reports based on leaks about its upcoming Android tablet. But the company has finally put out its own short video with a few tantalizing glimpses of the Samsung Galaxy Tab in action.

More importantly, it looks like Samsung will officially launch the tablet on September 2nd at the IFA show in Berlin.

According to the video, which you can check out below, the tablet has a 7 inch display, runs Google Android 2.2, supports “video calls,” “full web browsing,” and “HD movies.” It also looks like it will use the same Swype keyboard available on the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.

  1. Yay – about time we had something official. Now how long before I can get one here in the UK?

Looking forward to the next announcement.
