Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 unboxed – video

The Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 is a new netbook from Dell which features a 10.1 inch display, Intel Atom N455 processor, and a tweaked color design with the entire laptop consisting of one color. The new model also has a touchpad with separate left and right buttons instead of the integrated buttons that appeared on earlier Dell Mini 10 models.

MyDellMini has posted an unboxing video of the new netbook. For the most part, it looks an awful lot like the Dell Mini 10 I reviewed earlier this year. But it supports DDR3 memory. While that might make you think this is the new high end model, it’s actually the new budget model. This version won’t be available with all the bells and whistles. For instance, you won’t be able to customize the Inspiron Mini 1018 with an HD display or Broadcom video decoder.

You can check out the unboxing video below and find some more photos at the MyDellMini forum.

This looks good, some nice improvements from the 1012. I definitely pick this up when it comes to the states.
