Brando introduces solar-powered 4-port USB hub and battery

Four port USB hubs are a dime a dozen these days. And I mean that almost literally, with plenty of places where you can find USB hubs on sale for around a buck. But Brando has found a way to make a USB hub that really stands out.

First up, this hub has a built-in rechargeable 130mAh batter and comes with 7 different mobile phone connectors for charging most phones.

Second, there’s a solar panel, which lets you charge the internal battery using sunlight. You can also charge the battery over a USB connection.

There’s also a built in LED flashlight for some reason.

Of course, 130mAh isn’t a whole lot of juice. But if you desperately need to make a phone call and your phone’s battery is pretty much kaput, this solution could give you enough extra power to make a few calls, look up the name of that actor you keep forgetting on IMDB, or do whatever it is you have to do with your phone before th ebattery dies again.

The Brando Solar Charging 4-port hub measures 3.3″ x 1.4″ x 0.5″ and weighs 1.1 ounces. It runs $22, and it’s available i black or white.
