Asus Eee PC Lamborghini VX6 user manul goes online

Last I’d heard, the Asus Eee PC Lamborghini VX6 laptop was due out in August. While this luxury Eee P model isn’t available for purchase yet, you can wile away the long and lonely hours waiting for its release by checking out the user manual. Last night Asus uploaded manuals in 26 different languages for the VX6.

Basically, the guts of this notebook are the same as those of the Asus Eee PC 1215N. It has a 12.1 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, 1.83GHz Intel Atom D525 dual core processor, and NVIDIA ION 2 graphics. But the VX6 has a Lamborghini-inspired design and Lamborghini branding, which, you know, will make it cost more.

The user manual gives us a closer look at the design, which features a small access panel for replacing the RAM (but not the hard drive), a battery which sits flush with the back of the unit, 3 USB ports, VGA and HDMI output, an SD card slot, Ethernet, and mic and headphone jacks. the touchpad supports multitouch gestures including two-finger scrolling, zooming, and rotating. It also looks like the computer will ship with Windows 7 Home Premium.

There’s still no word on a release date, but if we don’t see the Eee PC Lamborghini VX6 go on sale before the end of the month, I suspect it will show up at the IFA show in Berlin in early September. Actually, it’ll probably be on display in Berlin even if the laptop does go on sale this month. Either way, we should have more details soon.
