Windows 7 Service Pack 1 beta is now available for download

Microsoft is putting the finishing touches on Windows 7 Service Pack 1, which rolls up a bunch of updates, fixes, and tweaks for Windows 7. Basically, if you’ve been keeping your computer up to date with Windows update, you’ve probably already received most of the items in the service pack. But if you just can’t wait for Microsoft to officially launch SP1, you can go ahead and download the public beta today.

Up until now, pre-release versions of the Window 7 SP1 were only available to a limited group of testers.

As Download Squad points out, there’s also a chance you might have to uninstall the beta version of the service pack before installing the final build. So download with caution.
