Asus Eee PC 1015PD, 1005PED on their way

Asus plans to begin offering several new 10 inch netbooks in the US on the week of July 19th. The Asus Eee PC 1015PD and 1015PD were first spotted by Notebook Italia, with a product page showing up at a Hungarian shop. There are also listings on the Asus support site. But I just received confirmation from a US Asus rep that the netbooks are headed to the states.

The new models will have a new case design which sets them apart from the Eee PC 1005-series netbooks that have been on the market for the past year. They’ll also be available with several different processor options including a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU (with support for DDR2 memory) or the newer DDR3-capable 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 or 1.83GHz Intel Atom N475 processors.

Pricing is also expected to be a little lower at launch than the Eee PC 1005 series, although there will be a high end model with premium features such as Bluetooth 3.0.
