Those who think Chinese tablet markets will go bust, don’t even realise that the world’s most famous gadget makers, actually don’t make their own gadgets. The hardware and software for those gadgets are built in the sweatshops of China, Korea, Taiwan and India. Then they just get “branded”, and you swoon over those brands. Case in point is IBM, whose famous Thinkpad laptops were made by Lenovo, who became so big, they bought over the business from IBM, and are now the world’s largest laptop manufacturer. I myself own a few chinese/korean gadgets, and they have a big support base of fans and modders, with active discussion forums and frequent firmware/hardware upgrades. I pity the Samsung Galaxy S, Dell Streak and other famous tablets, which have a bleak future against the mighty Apple iPad and the explosion of the Tablet PC clones from China/Korea. What happens when there’s a lot of competition? We consumers reap the benefits!!
