I have a feeling we’re going to be buried in tablets soon, with Computex just around the corner. But in advance of the trade show, here are a few of the latest tablet-related stories from around the web:
- HTC is working on a tablet targeted at women interested in being able to use social networking features while watching TV.
- Shogo has a 10 inch tablet has a Freescale ARM-based processor, a Linux-based operating system and a WebKit-based browser and support for HTML5 web-based apps.
- A new Taiji Electronics tablet packs an ancient VIA C7-M processor and a fancy snap-on Bluetooth keyboard and kick-stand that makes the tablet a bit more notebook-like.
- The Shun Ericsson R116 tablet has a 10 inch screen and Intel Atom N450 processor… but it looks an awful lot like a particular fruit-themed tablet.
And of course, the Apple iPad was released around the globe today. It’s raining tablets.
