MSI’s latest PC is Toast

The folks at MSI seem to be keen on pushing the envelope of product design lately. At CES, they had the odd, but sort of useful computer-in-a-projector concept. This week at CeBIT, they apparently have the MSI Toast PC — a computer that, as far as I can tell, looks like a toaster.

The Toast PC is a nettop with slim, toaster-like design. The slot-loading DVD drive at the top loads a disc sort of the way a toaster loads bread. There’s also a remote control that you can snap onto the side of the computer for safekeeping — and more of that toaster illusion.

I think I liked the Projector PC better.

    An interesting concept.
    Why should we have to look at only black boxes?

    Who will be the first to put an LCD on the front of a Microwave oven?

    Then you could punch up an American Pie video while your pot pies heat.

    You guys ever heard of that story of the guy who found a peanut butter & jelly sandwich that his kid crammed into his VCR?

    It's looks ugly to me because the idea of toaster's design doesn't fits in such useful gadgets. May be the housewives likes it's concept as they can have familiar feel with it but I don't think it's a good design. For me it should be something looks attractive rather than a toaster.

    So Brad, your toaster at home has a remote? You really ARE the tech guy!

    My guess is that Brad's toaster does not have a separate remote;
    It is probably Bluetooth tethered to the egg poacher and/or coffee maker.

    My bet is on the coffee maker.
