I like the basic concept of Chrome OS. I really do, and if the cloud does become as robust as they think it will, the OS will be fine for just about every daily task.

Oh yeah. The last thing consumers need is competition and a Web OS.
We should all stick with Microsoft and pay the hefty Microsoft price tag.
And who needs a system that starts and shuts down instantly.
What we really need is to stick to a bloated OS that takes minutes to fully boot just so we can surf the Web and use Web services.
Plus Web apps are so lame in comparison to Paint, and Calculator etc.

I have been using Google Chrome on Mac OS 10.5.7. Compared to all other major browsers available on Mac OS, Google Chrome is definitely the fastest one. When you start a browser-its too instant and surfing the web is noticeably faster too. This is also true for sites with a lot of JavaScript.A nice feature of Google Chrome is it's automatic update. Google Chrome has never asked me to restart it and yet it's always up to date.
