The dual core Atom 330 empties the battery faster than expected. 4 hours is possible, though whithout WiFi or Bluetooth. Switch those on and the time will drop to somewhere about 3,5 hours.

I'm getting ready to switch from a hulking laptop and need something portable for traveling and can handle PowerPoint, Office Suite, video stored on the hard drive and not get bogged down when more than one program is running. Would you recommend the 1201N or the 30A?

I'm torn between buying this or to look for another brand/model. I don't play games. Just wanted this because I didn't want to have any problems if I want to watch 1080p videos.
It's usually just word, powerpoint, web surfing, music and watching videos. That's all I do. Any other suggestions for a laptop/nettop/notebook?

[...] Liliputing has put up a review of the Asus Eee PC 1201N. It’s a notable netbook from Asus since it’s their first netbook with Nvidia Ion graphics. Coupled with the Atom 330 dual core processor, it’s a netbook that is much more powerful (at least on paper) than the normal 1.6ghz single core processor. Alongside the powerful CPU and GPU, there’s also RAM which is expandable to a formidable 4gb maximum. Overall a positive review from Liliputing – we’ve summed it up in bullet points below. Want to get one? Well, the Asus 1201N is currently available for pre-order from Amazon shipped free for £408 .
Ya. That's what I was thinking since you have the UL20A.

Also, heavy internet usage with video and low screen brightness will result in about 3h 40m of battery. I haven't tried no-wifi yet but I'm guessing you could push past 4h 30m.

Yup, you are correct. I should have looked more closely. I just assumed it
was Express Gate because that's the case on the UL20A, which has a very
similar design.

I'll update the review to reflect this.
