Lenovo is starting to show off its new ThinkPad X100e thin and light laptop. This business-oriented machine features an 11.6 inch HD display, an AMD processor, and a full sized istland-style keyboard. That keyboard layout makes it stand apart from most of the laptops in the ThinkPad, but like a typical business notebook from Lenovo, the X100e features a TrackPoint nub in the middle of the keyboard as well as a decent sized touchpad.
Lenovo ThinkPad designer David Hill posted a short video on the Lenovo design blog to talk about the ThinkPad X100e. You can check it out after the break.
Engadget’s Joanna Stern also got a chance to check one out recently, and she’s posted some of the first real-world pictures I’ve seen.
We’ll have to wait until review units are available before we can talk about performance. But the Lenovo ThinkPad X100e is certainly a nice looking machine, even if the 3 cell version does only get an estimate 2 hours of battery life.
Video after the break.
