I saw the new Mini 10, but I just placed an order for the old Mini 10v before Dell discontinues it altogether. It's slimmer, lighter, and the N280 processor (1.66GHz/667Mhz FSB/512K L2Cache) is as fast as the N450. Most importantly, you can increase the memory to 2GB if you're willing to take the laptop apart. I'll live with the shorter battery life to get these advantages.

Thank you for showing the underside of the new Dell Mini 1012 netbook. I'm a Dell Mini fan, but so far I'm not really impressed with the pale white underbelly look, or the bubble-butt extension for the battery on this model.

[...] Liliputing managed to track down one of Dell’s updated Inspiron Mini 10 netbooks at CES 2010 today. Despite having the same name, they report that Dell has given the Mini 10 a significant overhaul. Of course, it the new 1.66GHz Intel Atom Pine Trail CPU, but there’s also a revised keyboard. The touchpad has also been retooled a bit, but unfortunately it seems to be a bit smaller than the predecessor.
1.37KG for a 10 inch netbook? That is like a brick. Netbooks should get lighter not heavier. This is as heavy as the super old Asus 1000HE at 1.45KG.

A big disgrace for netbooks indeed

I love the new internals and the flush 6-cell battery, but Dell epic failed on the design, talk about ugly.
