Giada Slim N10 super-slim nettop unboxed, dissected – Video

The Giada Slim N10 is one of the thinnest nettops on the market. In fact, it almost looks more like a wireless router than a computer. But the N10 has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 330 dual core processor, NVIDIA ION graphics, up to 4GB of RAM, up to a 500GB HDD, WiFi, and HDMI output.

The folks at TweakTown wanted to know how Giada managed to fit all those components into such a tiny case. So naturally, the first thing they did after unboxing the nettop was to dissect the case and look at the insides. You can see the results in the unboxing video below. But in a nutshell, there’s a custom built motherboard, a tiny fan, and a a passive heat distribution system.

As you might expect, there’s not a lot of room inside the case, so upgrades aren’t going to be easy. In fact, TweakTown couldn’t even find the RAM. if anything, it looks like it might be relatively easy to upgrade the hard drive. And I suppose if you have a really tiny USB powered component that you want to hide inside the case, you might be able to tap into USB lines.
