It is severely underpowered, but at this price point it is worth checking out. And as BigGoofyGuy said it could be used as a kid computer. As for the display, well, I don't think that 7 inch is that bad. Many pricier smartbooks come with similar screen sizes.

The screen size reminds me of my Asus EEE 701a pc. It wasn't bad but not easy to type on (the 701a). This one will probably be in the same category. Even with its limitations, at $99 I think it will sell well. Perhaps it will be a step up for those wanting to buy a netbook for ones kids? There are really cheap kids computers that have a 3 or 4 inch monochrome screen.

Hey, can you guys confirm whether or not the newer MSI Wind U110 gets its supposed 14-hour battery life. It is on sale at Amazon now but no one seems to have reviewed it there.

I've seen a few reviews on Newegg with some claiming they managed 16 hours out of it.

Can you guys confirm this? It's news worthy if true ; )

Even at $100, I still think they are getting the better end of this deal. I think my out of date old Palm T/X has more power than the cheaper one…

I payed $3000 for and IBM PC in 1981.

That ain’t slow it just shouldn’t have today’s SLOW, BLOATED and INEFFICIENT software installed on it.

I would sooner buy that then a Kindle or a Nook. It's twice as fast as my Archos PMA400 and has a bigger screen and a keyboard. My Archos fits in my pocket though. That won't fit in a pocket but neither will a Kindle.

Americans are spoiled and don’t know the RIGHT machines to buy. Have to keep up with the dumb Joneses.

Wow, how utterly lame. The first one… I can't imagine using it even as a web interface with a screen that small and… a 13.3 inch 1024×600 screen… I guess if the keyboard is really comfy that might make sense, especially with how Atom seems to struggle with 1366×768 but otherwise it just seems like fail… on easy mode no less.
