[...] Blump’it is basically an onscreen keyboard, widget engine and touch-based interface on top of FireFox that lets you use your touchscreen enabled device like a tablet without ado. You can run weather, calendar, photo applications in tablet format and have a gala time doing it. And since it is so much fun and easy for Blump’it developers to create, they are currently working on a prototype for the Blump’it tablet. It is currenlty specced as an 10” device powered by Atom, running on Linux and having a battery life of 2.5 hours. I think I will pass till they figure out a way to make this thing run longer through average usage. I am interested if that is 2.5 hours of video playback though, which I doubt it is.
The WebTaps touch screen toolbar from (www.webtaps.com) for Firefox does this too, but also includes a feature that shows or hides the keyboard automatically depending on the website - so if you go to google.com for example, the keyboard is already shown right below the text field. It also automatically resizes website to maximize the use of the (limited) screen space.

[...] Introducing Blumpit – a new and extremely creative Firefox plugin that gives you a simplified interface so that you can use your PC solely via the touchscreen. That’s right – all you need is Firefox and this free plugin. It basically gives you an onscreen keyboard and a widget-based interface. It also has games. The company behind Blumpit plans to sell its own tablet soon. No details on that one yet though. [Read] [...]

So Jolicloud+Blump'it is basically the instant on (well, 15 second on), touch browsing dream. Just makes the JooJoo failure even more comical.

Although, just taking a glance at the website and it's list of 'known bugs', software could still use some work. I mean both the plugin and the website.
