Target to offer pre-Black Friday Acer Aspire One at $199

target-blk-frday-sadfIn case you miss out on the insane $150 Aspire One Office Max is going to offer on Black Friday, you can still score one for just under $200 at Target.

According to the leaked flyer, you’ll also receive a free neoprene sleeve for your new netbook. I’m not sure that makes the Target deal worth the extra $40, but at least it gives you a back-up option if you aren’t lucky enough to get your hands on one at the Max.

I see a lot of stocking stuffed with boxes shaped 13″x10″x3″ this holiday. I wonder if netbooks will be good gifts, or will people un-prepared for low cost & lean function computers be disappointed?

In 2009, Black Friday falls on November 27 and many stores will run ads prior to that day with special discount prices on selected merchandise as a way to lure shoppers into their doors. Most stores will open their doors early on Black Friday, usually around 5 a.m., and the special prices will be good for a limited number of hours. Some cut the sales off at 11 a.m., but that still gives shoppers six hours to make their purchases.

Targets Aspire one for $199 is bull. Tried every store (per their list) within 75 miles of my home (approx 8 stores). They all claim they are sold out and don't know when or if they will receive more. Some business operation. Don't even know what they are receiving around the biggest holiday of the season. go figure.
