As expected, Fujitsu is adding an 11.6 inch laptop with an Intel CULV processor to its lineup. The Fujitsu LifeBook P3110 has a 1366 x 768 pixel display and comes with a choice of processors including the Intel Core 2 Duo Su7300, Intel Pentium SU4100, and Intel Celeron 743. All three are part of Intel’s Consumer Ultra Low Voltage line, which means you should get better performance out of these chips than, say, an Intel Atom processor. But they’re designed to use significantly less power than Intel’s bleeding edge chips in order to help prolong battery life on thin and light laptops.
The LifeBook P3110 also comes with a choice of Windows operating systems. No, you can’t get Windows XP or Bob. But the laptop will be available with Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate.
The laptop will come with up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 500GB of hard disk space. The batery should be good for up to 6 hours, and in addition to integrated WiFi, the P3110 will be available with Bluetooth, and UMTS modem options.
The Fujitsu LifeBook P3110 weighs about 3.3 pounds. No word on pricing yet.
