We’re starting to see PC makers put out 10 inch or smaller convertible netbooks with touchscreen displays like the Asus Eee PC T91 and Gigabyte TouchNote T1028. But these machines tend to be fairly expensive compared with their touch-free siblings. But anytime there’s an expensive item in the West, you can be pretty sure a cheap Chinese knockoff is on its way.
Case in point: A $370 touchscreen tablet style netbook from China. The unbranded netbook features a 10.1 inch touchscreen, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 160Gb hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity.
The laptop appears to be running Windows XP, but it should be rather easy to upgrade it to Windows 7 to take advantage of the more touch-friendly opprating system.
