Samsung X120 thin and light laptop unboxed – Video

x120 unboxed

The Samsung X120 is an 11.6 inch laptop with a dual core Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CULV processor. It’s a few steps up from your typical netbook, thanks to the faster processor, more powerful Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, and a fwe other premium features like a 250GB hard drive and 3G of RAM. The X120 isn’t shipping in the US yet, and last I heard Samsung hadn’t decided whether to launch it here, but it’s available in Germany and Joahhanes from NewGadgets.de got his hands on one and posted an unboxing video.

As nice as this laptop looks, there’s one thing you should be aware of: It carries a 680 Euro price tag. That’s just over $1000 US. Odds are that if and when the X120 does make it to the US, it will get a price cut. But Samsung appears to be positioning this machine as a cut above the competition such as the Acer Aspire 1410 and Dell Inspiron 11z. Which kind of makes me wonder why Samsung couldn’t have figured out how to design a touchpad with buttons below the pad instead of on the left and right sides.

You can check out the unboxing video after the break. It helps if you speak German.

I agree. I don't understand how one can do a mouse click and move the touch pad at the same time.
