What the heck? Where's the Chiclet MacBook-style keyboard I fell in love with at CES? The keyboard now looks like my old 1000HD.

If it retains this keyboard layout, then everything else combined (except for the touchpad) would make this the perfect machine for me. It'd be nice to read a book on a plane then convert into notebook mode and work on some code with a comfortable keyboard layout.

But the price? Really?

It also looks like it has a uni-button thing going on for the mouse buttons. If that stays, how will it feel in use?

Why, oh why are the near-perfections kept so far out of reach for me - either hugely expensive or just not available? I'm not wanting much, and I can't be alone in wanting a matte or low gloss display and a proper keyboard (no Fn key on left, etc)...

Looks interesting, but before I'd replace my Gigabyte T1028, I'd want to see how easy it is to upgrade the RAM, to replace the 16 Gig SSD with something more substantial, and if it's video capabilities are any better. Especially given the pricing, I'd need to see a pretty big performance difference to switch. And given it isn't even available yet, I suspect most folks who are looking would prefer the bird in the hand over one that remains to even be placed in the bush :-)
