Onkyo nettop features NVIDIA IOn, removable DVD drive

onkyo p305a3It takes a lot to distinguish your netbook or nettop from the competition these days. After all, they all seem to be about the same size and have similar specs. But the Onkyo P305A3 does stand out from the crowd a bit thanks to one interesting feature: an optional DVD drive that can be attached to the nettop.

To be fair, even this isn’t a unique feature. Viewsonic has a nettop with a similar feature. But the Onkyo nettop is still pretty sexy looking.

The P305A3 has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 CPU, NVIDIA ION graphic, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, HDMI, 4 USB ports, an eSATA port, a 5-in-1 card reader, and WiFI. It comes with a wireless mouse and keyboard and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. The nettop should be available in Japan for about $767, which seems a bit on the pricey side… because it is. I suppose that’s another way this nettop stands out.
