I loaded Android v1.6 for x86 onto my old Acer Travelmate laptop and it was *awesome*. Android is designed to run well on 400MHz ARM processors in 128MB of RAM. On a real laptop it screams along. Even better...you can run exactly the same apps on your phone and the laptop. I'm loving it.

You don't have to load every time in Android!
There is an option through Windows 7, where you decide what OS will load next time you boot your machine.
You can load every time directly in Windows 7 if you so like.
