i love asus,asus UL30A is an interesting machine. It’s not the most powerful laptop i can find for $700 to $800.

Funny how I have Asus W7J as well. Business Class? I laughed. At max I get 3 hours of battery and the chasis is pretty flexible and looks cheap and not to mention it has 1 memory slot welded onto the board, so I can't upgrade it. The laptop runs pretty hot and is more than 1 inch thick. I think I'm going to UPGRADE to UL30A this Christmas.

by the way, netbooked, look carefully, HDMI is specifically mentioned in this particular review. and you can see it on the photos too.

very nice laptop. but the chassis is too cheap looking for me. mine is much older, i bought it for 2k, i has 3 times less battery life and a bit worse in some minor things. it's asus too of course (w7j). but mine is a real business class deal. and this is just a cheap toy(

I am wondering what the price and performance difference will be between the UL30 and the yet to be released dual core atom/Ion 1201 N. I bet it may out perform this with similar battery life……

This machine looks awesome. If I was after a 13-incher this would be my first choice.

As for the UL20A the hugest downside I see is the lack of HDMI, I can't believe ASUS decided to leave that out.
