Samsung N510 available with a classy red lid in Korea

n510 red

Sure, the Samsung N510 isn’t available in the US at all yet, but not only do our European friends get to play with this NVIDIA ION-powered 11.6 inch laptop, they also get a choice of lids for the laptop. Notebook Italia spotted a version with a red lid covered with a textured pattern that kind of reminds me of a fingerprint. Maybe it’s a dig at all the netbooks with glossy lids that collect fingerprints? The red model is reportedly planned for Korea. It’s not clear whether it will be released outside of Samsung’s home country anytime soon.

Other than the lid, this model looks like your standard Samsung N510. It has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, an Intel Atom N270 processor and NVIDIA ION graphics along with 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1.

Let's just hope all our waiting pays off by getting an ION full version with Windows 7.

the article at notebookitalia didn't say it's available in italy…

“Samsung N510 Red Special Edition sarà commercializzato sul mercato coreano nelle prossime settimane, ma al momento la sua distribuzione non è prevista in Europa.”

This is what I get for trying to write the article without running
this through Google Translate. Updated the post.

perfect! a decent netbook with XP !!!

the only regret is that the atom 330 might have been nicer.
hopefully there's an SSD option as well!
