lg x130 unboxed

… with the wireless turned off. To be honest, I’ve never done a battery test on a netbook with the WiFi turned off because this just isn’t the way most people use laptops most of the time. Still, I suppose if you were planning on using the LG X130 as an eBook reader with the screen dimmed and the wireless turned off, nDevil’s test results show that you should be able to squeeze about 15 hours and 7 minutes of life out of the battery.

Under normal conditions, the laptop’s 9 cell battery will more likely give you 8 to 10 hours of run time while using WiFi or the built in UMTS modem. And if you really want to try to run your battery down as quickly as possible, you could try throwing some 1080p video at it which should cause the machine to shut down in about 6 and a half hours. Of course, the video will be choppy and pretty much unwatchable, but them’s the breaks.

Aside from the battery, the LG X130 looks a lot like LG’s earlier netbook, the LG X120. It has the same nice looking keyboard, a reasonably sized touchpad, and two distinct mouse buttons. nDevil has also produced some unboxing photos and an unboxing video which you can check out after the break. It helps if you speak German.
