n130

Samsung is showing off its new N130 and N140 laptops at IFA in Berlin this week and Sascha from Netbook News got to spend some hands-on time with these two new models. For the most part, the specs look pretty familiar. The laptops have 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drives, 10 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel displays, and Intel Atom N270 or N280 processors. But they both run Windows 7 and have high capacity 6-cell batteries that may run for up to 11 hours.

When I saw the first images of these netbooks last night, I thought that Samsung had slapped the same rubberized bottom on them that the company uses for the Samsung Go. But upon closer inspection, it looks like the N130 has a rounded chassis and a flat, single-button touchpad that’s reminiscent of the Samsung Go’s, but the case isn’t rubberized. The Samsung N140 has a different look, and more closely resembles Samsung’s first netbook, the NC10. In his hands-on video, Sascha does point out that both of the new models have matte finishes.

You can check out the hands-on video after the break.
