My experience was interesting. I got this netbook, but the OS was not installed and wouldn't install even after I made an image CD of the OS to try to install it myself. I'd sure like to see this in action. However, I didn't give up, wanting a mobile Linux device, and had luck installing two other distros, namely, Lubuntu and Kubuntu.

Well to be fair, Moblin is still in beta. It would be kind of irresponsible
of Dell or anyone else to sell a product loaded with software that's still
officially in Beta and not give you some sort of notice that it might not be
ready for prime time.

That said, Moblin is pretty far along and quite usable at this point.

I find the Dell page insulting as they went from offering Linux up front on the regular pages to only offering a "developer version" for "enthusiasts". Guess they collapsed...and I'm glad I waited because now I will be able to by the MSI openSuse Moblin netbook. At least they're not "in the closet" like Dell is when it comes to Linux.

Good warning about accidentally wiping your hard disk, but how about explaining what is so cool about Moblin? The wiki hyperlink doesn't really throw much light.
Surely the point would be that Moblin is optimsed to give the user the best possible netbook/portable experience?
