BlueGear 10 inch available from QVC

bluegear netbook

I’m always amazed that people buy things from home shopping TV channels like QVC. But I guess the fact that QVC also has a web store make me feel a little better about the idea. Anyway, a funny thing popped up on QVC recently, a netbook from BlueGear, a company I’ve never heard of.

The specs look pretty average for a 10 inch netbook. The $399 laptop has a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. It packs 802.11b/g WiFi, a 3-in-1 card reader, 3 USB ports, a 1.3MP webcam, and a 3 cell battery. It also comes with a 56k modem, which isn’t something you see every day. The BlueGear netbook measures 10″ x 7.5″ x 8.25″ and it’s made in China, which means it’s probably a rebadged version of some generic laptop made by a Chinese OEM.

Because this is QVC, you can also pay for the laptop on an installment plan if that’s your cup of tea.
