Asus eBook readers to come with 6, 9 inch displays

It’s starting to look like Asus plans to jump into the eBook reader market with both feet. While we’ve already seen reports that Asus would launch a dual-screen eBook reader as well as a low cost entry level reader, DigiTimes is now reporting that the Eee Reader lineup will include 6 inch and 9 inch models. Both will feature grayscale touchscreen displays.

It’s possible that the 6 inch version was the cheap model we’d already heard about. But I suspect the 9 inch model might be something new, as it doesn’t sound like that will be the dual screen eBook reader we were expecting. That means Asus could have as many as three eBook readers up its sleeve.
