The price of Netbooks has been successfully and slowly pushed up and up towards the laptops. This will open the inevitable conversation "the gap is so small in price" what's the point of putting up with a device that is missing some stuff on a laptop i.e. dvdrom drive.<br><br>It is a sad day indeed but I see the end of the main driver for netbooks on the Horizon. Things have gone from a US$299 netbook to US$720. Don't say its got lots of nice stuff in it to justify its higher cost because that was the argument made in the standard Laptop discussions. "Buy more power and stuff in your laptop sir" (and we will raise the price) - even thoughyou don't need the extra stuff.... Well I am sorry to say my fortune telling is coming true.
