The Raon Digital Everun Note is a tiny laptop that bucks the netbook trend by packing a dual core AMD Turion 64×2 CPU, a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, and a starting price tag of around $900 (although the price for a base model eventually dropped by a few hundred bucks). But even with that high price, (or possibly because of it) it looks like Raon Digital may have been having a difficult time.
UMPC Portal reports that stories about reduced service levels and lack of stock have been coming in for months. Pocketables says that the company may have landed in bankruptcy court. The biggest sign that something’s going on? The company’s web site is down.
You can still pick up a Raon Digital Everun Note from Dynamism for $599. But I wouldn’t hold out hope that you’ll be able to receive tech support or customer service from Raon Digital for this laptop if anything goes wrong. Dynamism does offer its own service plan for the notebook though.
