Ripple IDSB-H003: Big name for a tiny desktop

Korean PC maker Ripple has launched a nettop that measures just 9.2″ x 8.5″ x 2.7″. The Ripple IDSB-H003 packs a dual core Intel Atom 330 CPU. 2Gb of RAM, and a 320G hard drive. It has 4 USB ports and a D-SUB jack for expansion.

No word on pricing or if this thing will ever be available outside of Korea. But aside from the rather limited expansion options and integrated Intel GMA950 graphics, this thing looks kind of awesome. I mean, looks only get you so far.

Netbooks I understand. Nettops I don't. Why bother when you can get a refurb Mac Mini for less than $500 that has a actual Core2 Duo and can handle HD without breaking a sweat. I'm sure there are similar PC's with small form factor and price.

And what is with the size? The Mini clocks in at 6.5×6.5×2.
