NES themed netbook cover is way cooler than your netbook slipcase

nes slipcase

A handful of netbook makers ship their laptops with simple black slipcases. Some don’t. And there are certainly a fair number of retailers selling third party slip covers on Amazon or eBay. But you know what? Not one of them has the geek cred of this handmade NES controller netbook sleeve.

Flickr user mendicon says his girlfriend made the case for his Acer Aspire One netbook. The case appears to be made of felt, and it doesn’t look like it has much padding. So while it will likely keep the computer from getting scratched and scuffed up, it’s not going to help protect the laptop from damage if you drop it out the window of a moving car or anything. And sadly, I’m pretty sure you can’t actually use it to play Zelda. But it’s still pretty awesome.
