This machine can withstand 120kg of pressure and a drop of 78cm (desk height). It's tougher than the Panasonic Let's Note series of Toughbooks (but it's not waterproof).

My guess, about the same as a piece of stiff cardboard between
two pieces of plastic. Maybe compare to a Frisbee?
I would not try to keep the kickstand of my M.C. from sinking
into the asphalt with it.

Impressive, but I don't really get the whole “ultra thin” thing with laptops/netbooks. I wonder how sturdy it feels.
