hp mini 110 hd screen

Yesterday HP added a few customization options to the HP Mini 110 including new colors and an optional HD video accelerator. Starting today you can also configure the netbook with a higher resolution 1366 x 768 pixel display instead of the standard 1024 x 576 pixel screen. Both versions are 10.1 inches diagonally. The HD screen will cost you an extra $30.

In other words, HP is pretty much done rolling out all of the features the company is expected to offer for this netbook. The higher resolution screen is only available on the Windows XP model. The HP Mini 110 Mi Edition netbook running a custom version of Ubuntu Linux is stuck with a 1024 x 576 pixel display.

The base price of the HP Mini 110 with Windows XP is $329.99. If you dress it up with a fresh coat of paint and throw in a 6 cell battery, HD video accelerator, higher resolution screen, Intel Atom N280 CPU, and 32GB SSD you’ll end up paying $549.99. And that’s not counting the optional $125 3G modem option.

Even the average 10″ config with the HD and screen sets you back $450,

That seems like too much, but the market will decide 'that' I suppose.

What? I specced one out at less than $400, $384 to be exact, with the HD screen and upgraded the processor.
