SHE is for Super Hybrid Engine. This item controls CPU overclock performance at Super Performance Mode in system. If you ajust the value to 15%, that means CPU maximum frequency can reach to 1.15 times as high as its standard frequency, at Super Performance Mode in system. The maximum Value you can set to is 30%. If it runs over the maximum set, BIOS will decrease to its default value 10% automatically after reboot. The function can keep system steady running.
BIOS supports the SHE Overclock function by recognizing RAM module ID. At present, 4 types of RAM as below have ASUS authentication. That is to say, the item of SHE Overclock Value will disappears in BIOS if end users swap RAM with other types by themselves. But it doesn’t affect system operation, just without this function.
4 RAM types:
DDRII800 SO-D HYNIX 1GB 200P
DDRII800 SO-D A-DATA 1GB 200P
DDRII800 SO-D SAMSUNG 1GB 200
DDR2-667 SO-D UNIFOSA 2GB 200P

Which Version exactly do you need and why is an upgrade to 2 GB Ram removing this feature again? Very confusing.
I have version BIOS 0323 and 2 GB, after the upgrade of the bios I had this option once, I selected 30% and after a second reboot the option was completely gone from the bios, version was still BIOS 0323.

Does anyone have explanations for this?

You're right, that would be realy cool. But even without that, SHE allows you to switch between the base 1.33 GHz and the overclock speed you select (and probably a super low power mode as well). If you can get by with 1.33 GHz most of the time when on battery, you could have a turbo mode for when it's plugged in or when you need to do something heavy duty.

It will be interesting to see how the different values translate into real-world differences in performance and battery life.

It would be great if the Overclock Value on the Asus Eee PC 1101HA could be adjusted from a windows utility while in use, rather than from the BIOS, as the need dictates. It would be even better if the software would auto adjust the Overclock Value based on CPU utilisation to boost performance during heavy use, and conserve battery when idle. Is there such a thing out there already?
