Netbooks and Laptops are merging as categories, and soon, other than the very high-end of the laptop market, everything else will be built around low-cost processors. That's the only stuff that appears to sells.<br><br>I just read an excellent analysis of the evolution of the netbook category, on the VDIworks blog http://vdiworks.com/wp/?p=62 This was written by their CEO, Amir Husain. I agree with a lot of the things he has to say about this. I will post a link to this liliputing article on his blog because this reinforces the point he was making... It was bound to happen! Netbooks and Laptops are merging as categories, and soon, other than the very high-end of the laptop market, everything else will be built around low-cost processors. Some here might disagree, but I think the average soccer-mom wants something a tiny bit bigger then the 10" models with their cramped keyboards.
