Robe:Do

The folks behind the Robe:Do kit that we first spotted a few months ago are back, with a new and improved model. The Robe:Do Three starts at $399 and comes with pretty much everything you need to make a fully functional robot except for the computer. You supply your own in the form of a netbook.

The kit is about 12″ x 12″ x 6.5″ and weighs 4 pounds, and includes a frame, wheels, motors, a USB controller, a rechargeable battery holder, and tires. Batteries and sensors are available as options, as is a larger robot chassis.

Put a handlebar and downtube on it and it'll look just like a Segway. Of course my Asus 1000H probably won't like being trod upon.
