More than 1 million Samsung NC10 netbooks sold

Samsung first introduced the NC10 netbook in October, 2008. Now the company is announcing that it’s sold over a million NC10s.

While Acer, Asus, and other big name computer makers passed the million netbooks sold point ages ago, Samsung is a company that’s probably better known for making consumer electronics like televisions and cellphones than computers. So it’s pretty impressive to see that the company’s first netbook has sold so well. Since launching the NC10, Samsung has come out with a number of new min-laptops including the Samsung N110, N120, and NC20.

You know how they could have sold more? Released the damn things in Canada. I would have bought one on release, as would several people I know.

Guess I am one in a million.

The Sammy NC10 is a great netbook. It amazes me that they got so much right on their first try. I wouldn't swap my NC10 of any of the newer models.

    Nice, absolutely LOVE mine.
Shame that for the followup they have now gone to glossy screens. Having a matte screen was a huge selling point for me.

The NC10 is indeed a great machine. I have had one for ages and the battery and screen are still as good as ever. Not too slow either. I heard that it is being phased out by Samsung though – any truth in that?

See http://www.mytex.co.uk for this unit bundled with cases and printers.
