If you’ve ever looked at a custom Linux operating system designed for netbooks and thought “all those large icons would make a lot more sense if my computer had a touchscreen display, you should check out the video after the break.

The folks at Notebook Italia loaded up Jolicloud on an Acer Aspire One that’s been hacked to include a touchscreen display. The results? All those enormous program icons finally make sense.

This video is a bit of a twofer, because not only does Jolicloud have large program icons instead of a more traditional start menu, but the current alpha version of the operating system is based on Ubuntu Netbook Remix, which also uses a custom program launcher with huge icons.
